I saw the clip of Hugh Jackman reacting to Wesley Snipes taking the record for longest time playing a Marvel character. But will Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Rebecca Romijn, and James Marsden now pull ahead with Avengers: Doomsday? I'm not 100% sure on the math of that.

Seen some tiktokers pleading or even demanding that other countries step up to "save them" from the 🍊💩. I'm really not sure what they expect other countries to do. Realistically, what can other countries do for Americans in the US right now? We're already in trade wars & under threat from the US. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I know it's all part of their software but every day Tiktok seems to be pushing more and more far right content/propaganda onto my feed. Where's my comic book content gone??🫤

I don't really follow public transit outside Ottawa but if feels like we're pretty exceptional when it comes to breakdowns and issues with our trains. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Reports of a track obstruction. No announcements at TP heard. Regular daily chaos. SMS or Social media giving conflicting information. 2nd problem of the day.

Welcome to Ottawa and RTO!
Eastbound train got stuck at st Laurent and was taken out of service after a few minutes of waiting. Trains now running both directions on the westbound platform. #OttLRT @occtranspo.bsky.social

I had seen the photos and clips, I only just now learned that it was during the transphobic part of his rantings that he made this gesture.

No matter how often you try to correct the misinformation, like with Imane Khelif, it goes nowhere. There's just no reasoning with some people. 😞🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
US president Donald Trump has once again mocked transgender athletes by performing a grotesque impression during a speech in which he also referenced Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, who is not trans.

I saw that people are selling clothes matching what the deceased island owner used to wear, including a half zip-up sweatshirt with his initials stylistically embroidered on it. They have online shops set up for it. What are we even doing at this point? Am I going insane??

People calling for an "outdoor" hockey game in the SkyDome (aka Toronto Rogers Centre) will have to remain disappointed. The roof mechanism doesn't work in cold weather. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Also, remember when arenas had unique names and weren't all named after a half dozen companies?🫤

But members of our institutions won’t commit to moving here.

Very few major Canadian media names, politicians, community leaders etc are actually active here. Americans have done a better job of this migration.

I’m so fucking tired of this and I don’t know how to fix it.

What horrifies me is that Canadian politicians, pundits and media still use Twitter as a means to take the public pulse — as much as they may claim not to do so.

So until they leave en masse, I feel an impetus to stay and TRY to provide a (failing) counter-narrative.

And I don’t fucking want to!
There’s an epidemic of people using Grok to do sexual violence to women on Twitter.

Yet Canadian politicians, media etc have failed to adopt another platform en masse, making it near-impossible to fully disengage and be tapped in to vital conversations and information.

What are we doing.

I just saw that there was some opinions expressed about Joe Biden being on vacation in the last few days. Question, what job do they think Joe Biden is currently "on vacation" from??

I would really like to see further analysis on this data to figure out how this works. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Canadians really do love to brag about our "free healthcare" but we keep neglecting it & electing politicians (especially at the provincial level) who would be happy to see it crumble so they can continue to privatize it. It's sad & it's frustrating. 😡

The Internet, where everyone is an expert in all things. For the record, I don't know if 12 hours is a long or short time for filming a scene involving a somewhat large cast in a small area for a big budget TV show so I will reserve my 2 cents on this matter and move on. 🤷🏼‍♀️ #StrangerThings

On a lighter, tiktok influencer related note please stop saying you're having a poutine when you've asked them to hold the cheese curds. Poutine is so simple. Fries, cheese curds, & gravy. Without the curds you're just having fries with gravy. So no, you didn't have your first poutine! 🤦🏼‍♀️

At this point I feel the easiest way to graduate is to get ChatGPT to write "because my Bible says so" a hundred different ways. It can be your answer to everything.

The fact that they used a variation of "teach students how to think, not what to think" when no thought went into that paper is sad.

Again, I will not trust a Democrat/Liberal/Labour Party member. Maybe there are good ones in the bunch but too many stand for nothing except gaining power because they're not as bad as the other party. & if throwing trans people under the bus helps with that, so be it. Because he is full of 💩 here.

I don't think I've ever seen Lars Eidinger in anything so I have no opinion on him playing Brainiac. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Is there something I should watch of his work?

I'm not reading DC KO so I don't mind the spoilers but it feels like something is off when comic companies are always releasing a barrage of marketing for what comes after while an event is still going on. 🤷🏼‍♀️

1. The federal government has just attempted to enact a national trans youth care ban.

A new HHS rule would shutter most gender-affirming care for trans youth nationwide.

It violates multiple laws and the constitution, and will likely go into effect in a few months.

Our latest story here:
Nationwide Trans Youth Care Ban Imminent As Trump Admin Announces "Nuclear Option" Federal Rule
The new federal rule formalizes previous threats to hospitals to pull Medicaid funding, and represents a significant legal stretch by this administration.

Democrats, Labour Party, Liberals,... I don't trust any of them to actually stand up for trans people. They show up at the parades and pretend but then start talking about "transgender identifying biological men." 💔🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
Shockingly, this bill would have failed were it not for the 3 Democrat defections.
Just now, a national trans healthcare felony ban for youth has passed the US House, with 10 year prison terms.

3 Dems crossed party lines to vote to jail providers.

4 GOP crossed party lines to vote against.

It is not expected to pass the Senate, where Dems hold filibuster power.

Story to come.

This better not pass the Senate. 😡
