Developers and land developers at the municipal level or one of the primary if not the most influential actors.

So yeah, while we need more housing, it doesn't hurt to make life easier and cheaper, for those that wield the most amount of power.

Also another reason why transit should be free. You shouldn't be having to make these dilemmas because of a detour at the fault of someone else.

McDonald's is a sign of poverty, but I guess if you're poverty is too extreme (see: Rideau), the addition of McDonald's is a sign of upwards motion. You went from scary warzone to working poor 😎

But yeah, overall, it's an excellent idea. The more we get people using small electric vehicles, when they can't use their legs, the smaller the better, the better everything gets.

I've thought about this a few times, for e/regular, but what would likely happen is basically e-bike theft export to other markets as we currently have with regular bikes which are less desirable.

I wonder how the Netherlands handles bike theft?

I haven't traveled many US cities, but New York City is really bad for this. I've seen like 8 ft worth of signage. Like what the hell man. Exceptions, rules, dates, schedules and a bloody novel about parking.

I'm sure it's a small group of (likely religious and cultural) public facing people that have sent an email.

Realistically though, we're a population of 1 million, you're not going to get delegates that are representing "the people" accurately.

Cruelty is often the point. People don't want the less fortunate looking better than them. It's the keeping up with the Joneses - but rather than you having to have the better car or the bigger watch, or the shinier new toy

You have to make sure the government doesn't give the poors anything nice

There are a lot of places where we are putting in place defensive restrictive action but it's punitive to everyone.
