Come on, little critter! Show yourself! If you hide too long, people will think they've been sucked into a British murder mystery show!

Not a red fox, right? They can be pretty yelpy, spooky and go on for a while.

They need to tweak the grammar set-up; thanks to you I've been watching Tomato, and the phrase 'red-headed non-binary' has been floating in my head for two weeks now since watching a previous Shadows of Doubt video from him. Make it write 'non-binary red-head' or something!

I don't know enough about them to be saying this applies to them! It might not! But so many people say things like 'Cringe is Dead! Chase your Bliss', but then pull out a manifesto on geo-politics when anyone asks them why they do something rather than just saying 'I dunno, I wanted to'.

It is notable how to too many people, the idea that any sort of expression of disappointment in what you produce publicly is taken as a searing condemnation. And if you're doing something because it makes you happy, why is the explanation never just that?

I went to collage for that! ...just in time for a jobs-slump that would have forced me to move to Alberta, but I did collage for it!

This picture proves that poodles really do have souls, since this specific dog is clearly 'filled' by the void where one should be!

Got a new shirt from @aurahack.ca and needed to let Ascari get the first wear. To bad she started fighting over which of her is the chronologically first one, but she can both share. At at least briefly.

They are always the CHEAPEST and MOST RELIABLE SHIPPING OPTION IN CANADA. I CANNOTTT stress this enough.

Over the course of over 10 years running both W&W and before this we've lost a grand total of maybe 10? packages? out of thOUSANDS.

ALL of our small books, pins, stickers, patches, tiny items that fit into 'big parcel letter mail' with STAMPS will actually start to cost YOU all sHIPPING. if we're forced to switch away from Canpost.

We can ONLY offer free shipping across Canada BECAUSE of Canada Post's exceptions.

i’m not on threads but i did come across these posts about the Canada Post strike from someone on there that i felt worth sharing… mostly because i wanted to make a similar thread on this but haven’t had a chance to do the price comparisons. 1/

Welcome to my Canada Post crash-out.
Letters are urgent business.
Canada Post offers 2-4 day delivery for letters.
Bank cards, drivers licenses, voting cards, medical appointments, cancer biopsy results, abnormal cervical screenings, blood tests, jury duty, court dates, university transcripts, parking tickets, passports, and legal documents are all mailed through Canada Post.
Letters are not flyers.
They are not Burger King coupons.

Sept 27th is World Tourism Day!

And wouldn't you know it?
I have a whole book about my 2022 trip to Greece.

the post office is a public service. it doesn’t need to make money. public transit doesn’t need to make money. the library doesn’t need to make money. some things exist for the public good and we desperately need lawmakers to stop thinking about them in terms of capitalism. these are not businesses.

genuinely, who cares? public services aren't businesses. it provides services that should be accessible to the entire population. it should not be expected to make that profitable.

screenshot from the article: "Canada Post is now facing an existential crisis," Government Transformation, Public Works and Procurement Minister Joël Lightbound said in a statement on Thursday. "Since 2018, the corporation has accumulated more than $5 billion in losses. In 2024 alone, it lost over $1 billion, and in 2025, it is already on track to lose close to $1.5 billion."

I am begging Canadians to understand that Canada Post, like public transit, should not be a business - it's a service.

Canada Post is a lifeline for rural, remote and Northern communities and overall, we need to re-evaluate why people think they "need" random shit delivered ASAP.

The government is reducing service standards and Canada Post’s biggest advantage: its nationwide network.

This plan is about cutting back the postal service instead of investing to give it new revenue tools through things like postal banking. It’s shameful.
