Holy mackerel MrsStPaul just went scouting and returned with a visual. And there’s two!
Since this place is the sane FB Neighborhood Page, I need to share that there is an owl hooting up a storm in #MacGroveland right now.

Somewhere near like Wellesley & Kenneth. Definitely not the St Kate’s owl from … last year? Or maybe the same owl but they’ve moved north a little.

My favorite movie moment from November 2025:
On an airplane watching FANTASTIC MR FOX, and a pilot announcement came on and froze the screen right when Kylie the possum gets zoned out. 😂

Organizing my stuff & came across these DVDs, bought from street vendors in Wan Chai when we lived in Hong Kong (2007-2011)
IF YOU ARE THE ONE (unopened)
ELIZABETH THE GOLDEN AGE
ROMAN HOLIDAY
MOGAMBO
Thought I’d ask here if anyone has any interest in these before I get rid of them. Questions ok!

Just getting over a cold so I checked out early last night and was asleep in no time. Came downstairs this morning to find that somebody was working late on _this_! Mrs StPaul’s world-best pecan pie. Yes I guess I knew she was making it; but it’s still quite a thing to find on your counter.😎

[Al Pacino] Apple pie is bad.
[Elliott Gould] 𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘦?!
Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

Yes, it’s almost impossible. 😅 So I’m going by my Letterboxd rankings, which only include movies I’ve seen since I joined in 2015:

A Room With a View
Blow Out
Repo Man
Victor/Victoria

(*huge* apologies to Raiders Of The Lost Ark. You’re on this list 90% of the time.)
I have to treat these as a snapshot of my mindset this minute, or I go nuts. That said:
My Twentieth Century
Desperately Seeking Susan
Hannah and Her Sisters
Casualties of War

(given 10, I'd add Moonstruck, The Stunt Man, A Room With a View, Stranger Than Paradise, Fanny & Alexander, and Witness)
Name your top 4 80s films.

A note on my #LetterboxdFriday / #LastFourWatched — All four were seen on a plane.
I’m always more receptive to movies on a plane, I don’t know why that is. Is it because it’s similar to the past when you had to watch whatever was on / couldn’t be so picky? Maybe so, maybe so.

Same thing in Saint Paul. Unbelievable!
(Thanks for posting, Sara. I usually assume you can only see these with a fancy lens or something and normally don’t go look. Glad I did!)

You’ve heard over & over how it sucked living under the constant barrage of how awesome Boomers were. But the 92 Clinton pres run was that X 1,000 — and then Fleetwood Mac literally came out of retirement to play his inauguration! That, for me, cemented them as avatars of all that. What can I say!
I'm not saying 'only people aged 47 to 55 think Fleetwood Mac are bad' - obviously people of all ages have different opinions. But only people in that v specific age group think that 'Fleetwood Mac are bad' is a common sense, commonplace opinion.

[me beforehand] Sure, we can spend a late afternoon at the abandoned chateau at Le Baux. We’ll see if it’s overrated I guess.
