I lost my job at the Northmoor National Park Visitor Centre for telling schoolchildren there are things living in the mist that will try to follow it into our homes. Keeping children safe with folklore shouldn’t be a sackable offence. - Trudy Whirlen, quoted in the Hookland Echo newspaper, 1981

shouldn’t it be the balls room?
Why does everyone keep calling it “The Epstein Ballroom?” Please stop repeating “The Epstein Ballroom” because it is not called “The Epstein Ballroom!” Don’t tell the news that it’s called “The Epstein Ballroom” and please don’t repost this!!!!!
It has to be ‘the fountain pen you have on you’ otherwise a Uni One or Zento. I have used Energel but they do smudge and fade*… one needs pigment based ink otherwise your notes are gone in 5 years or less.

* applies to fountain pen inks as well so I prefer permanent/document/pigment vs dye based

Yes for journaling you need a plus one :-)
The idea book is skinny so that’s great for extemporizing poems lists or ideas, but quite thin.
The Life book has a section for each year of your life which is cool.
They fit together in the cover Traveler’s NB style.
The paper is ~as good as TMR
I gave up on Hobonichi disry A6) because a day to page made it too hard to flip around and see ahead, and I kept putting appointments in the wrong month :-(
So I tried Kokuyo Jibun Techo which gas a two page spread per week. I have stuck with that now.
The cover holds a note book plus the life book
Love stalogy notebooks :-)
A6 in that cover would be good :-)
Enjoying also Perpanep zarazara (Kokuyo) and md (Midori)

Sketching in the Elizabeth Street Garden. Fountain pen, ink wash, two kinds of white pen and green marker on toned paper. #urbansketchers #nycurbansketchers #nyc
I can recommend the Kokuyo WITH pen case. Room for 4-5 pens plus a clip in pouch outside plus the killer feature— a strap which allows you to attach it to a book, notebook, or journal.

New fountain pen ink day! I’ve wanted to try the Akkerman inks ever since they came out and this “Business in the front, party in the back” blue black made for @gourmetpens.bsky.social is right up my alley! I’ve still got to finish a fill of Bungubox Imperial Purple before I can try it tho.

Sometimes, you just have to come home and do a little pen maintenance.

And yes, if you don’t get a little on your hands, you’re not doing it right….
Oooh is that a Hobonichi cover?
I have one I put a Muji notebook in for journaling & occasionally poems if my Kokuyo soft ring is misplaced :-)
Fountain pen is a Monteverde MP1 in blue. (Piston filler)

A fast, little fountain pen sketch study of @nolanillustration.bsky.social art - to improve and quicken my lineart and my texturing! It was DEFINETLY a fun challenge to stay into 10 minutes.
The Midori md one day journal (with removable corners to mark place)

Kokuyo Perpanep journal, has three smoothness grades zarazara is the fountain pen one and is fantastic. And it lies completely flat.
SketchInk Lili
Test it though it is gray or almost black depending on the pen.

Also Kaweco gray is worth a look
I find a Platinum Plaisir 03 (Fine) and carbon ink performs pretty well.
But you are right it is definitely a problem.
I suspect the reason is to keep the printing ink cheap…

I remember seeing it and it was incredible, without error, in fountain pen ink, scrolling and with balloon flourishes.

She said that she complemented the elegance of the writing and how cultured the writer had to have been, etc. to her orchestra colleagues. There was never another hate letter 😆 🤣 😂

My god, this is like something out of Kim Stanley Robinson. Absolutely chilling to see
'Another unoccupied house collapsed into the ocean along North Carolina's Outer Banks on Saturday night. It's the 11th house to collapse since mid-September.

In total, 22 homes have collapsed into the ocean in the area since 2020.'

Thank you to @thewombwellrainbow.bsky.social for this prompt, which I think took me almost as long to write out as my poem itself, but also gave me the opportunity to tell people about my favourite friend 🖤
