Venturing over here for a look. To quote myself, “I told the people of my district that I would serve them as faithfully as I had done; but if not, they might go to hell, and I would go to The Other Site.”

Extremely funny to see this headline, read the laudatory reactions on Bsky, then click through and learn that one of the only things they agree on is support for the Nazi Tattoo guy
Wow — Senators Van Hollen, Smith, Murphy, Sanders, Warren, Markey, Merkley, Heinrich have created an official internal "Fight Club."

They're challenging Schumer & Gillibrand's leadership, arguing the party is using an old, corporate-friendly playbook insufficient to take on Trump or win elections.

*The Premier League Years voice* it’s November 2025, Taylor Swift is topping the charts and we’re heading to north London for one of the greatest goals in premier league history. It also happened to be their only shot in 90 minutes.

This season of Slow Horses had the problem of if it was just the Paul Gleason scenes of Die Hard but you had several copies of him and it was six hours long

(Trump has spent all day trying to sell out Ukraine and having a gauzy meeting with the Internet’s favorite special boy to distract our easily distracted and gullible politics media is part of him doing that.)

(What neither Hayes nor Yglesias want to deal with is Labour’s economic program, with the idea that you can do “predistribution” and get better political and welfare outcomes through more regulation/union power/industrial policy is a cousin of Biden-Bernie-Warrenism and that’s been a total bust.)

Labour’s “we have to do it, or racism will get worse” argument is striking. Any other public policy failures British ethnic minorities should be on the hook for? Can we be blamed en bloc for Rachel Reeves’ budget next week too? www.ft.com/content/37b0...

Home secretary’s framing of failures is partly low politics, but also a result of ministers’ poor approach to race relations

Tony Blair, looking at this government, sighing, and writing a third 'look, I'm not saying this to upset the Labour party, I genuinely believe it' speech in the hope that the Starmer project gets it this time.
When Blair pushed Labour to places it didn’t want to go on public service reform, it was accompanied with money, was patently what he genuinely believed and there was a credible argument that he might be right - at least electorally.

What are Labour MPs getting from this?
