"There are only four kinds of people in the world.
Those who have been caregivers.
Those who are currently caregivers.
Those who will be caregivers.
And those who will need caregiving."

Proposals for ERC-funded relocation from the US to Europe went up from 23 to 114. 👇🏼

The ERC doubled the maximum grant size, so it‘s a mix of push and pull.

I had had this book on my shelf since 2019 and had yet to read it until now. It's a short read. I had high hopes for it when I got it. He didn't discuss creativity at all. He wrote that the humanities were incoherent but it was this book that was aimless. I do not recommend this book.

Learned earlier tonight from the class rep that a classmate of ours, Cory Walls, passed away from cancer last Friday evening. He leaves behind his wife and three children. Cory graduated from the US Merchant Marine Academy in 2006 as a marine engineer and naval officer. He sailed as Chief Engineer.
Cory is third one from the right next to Ray Serzanin in the green John Deere hat.

Extremely glad I stayed up to watch this, there might never be another finish to an elite marathon like this one. I grew up in Tanzania, incredibly happy for its beautiful people and for Simbu, who I’ve seen come close several times. Mungu ibariki Tanzania!
