I did... on Instagram... and we used it a LOT at first but then just got lazy and I guess during COVID started posting daily on Twitter and now posting most dog pics on here. I get questions if I don't post dog pics!

Nice profile of Ozan Yanar today in @kauppalehti.bsky.social. I've interviewed Ozan many times in his former life as a Green politician (he was on the pilot episode of Newsmakers at @hs.fi TV almost a decade ago!) and good to see the recognition in his new role.

The smart thing to do is stop and engage with them. But their question highlights how Stubb's "values-based" foreign policy has more holes than a Swiss cheese, so he won't want to stop and engage.

But do I like the attitude and actions of the police and president's bodyguard? Absolutely not. Do I love Stubb ignoring a legitimate question? Again, no.

It warrants a second look in my professional opinion. I have not heard of Konteksti Media before. They could indeed be legit, but they don't display essential info like who they are, where their funding comes from, editorial guidelines, etc, on their website. Which is always suspicious.

Are they "journalists" in the traditional sense? No. Are they staging a protest? No. Are they asking a question every journalist should ask when they see Stubb? Yes, but it won't happen because Stubb only likes "friendly" media. Is it concerning in terms of a free press? Yes.

This doesn't sit right with me. Two "student reporters" at Aalto University in #Finland ask President Stubb a question he won't like, and then get manhandled by police, told by one of Stubb's angry security guards they'll go to jail, and then get fined? Journalism is not a crime.

Skills you need to learn as a journalist: begging editors not to cut your work because you love it so much and they'll rip the soul out of it if they so much as touch one single carefully-crafted word. I've just told an editor at Hesari that I will cry if they cut my column for this Sunday's paper!
