Doing the same thing over and over when it doesn't make sense is a definition of madness.
The #ClimateEmergency only ends when the CO2 we emit is falling. A better grid and grid storage is critical, lets behave like it's and emergency, because it is!

Wasted Wind
Britain wastes millions a day switching off wind turbines. See how much has been wasted today, and in 2025.

Let's call it Starmerism: the ideology of having no fixed ideology, where yesterday's red lines become tomorrow's footnotes if the focus groups demand it. It's worked – he's Prime Minister – but it leaves you wondering if there's anyone home behind the forensic prose and the toolmaker-dad anecdotes.

I suspect this will fail because ... Trump, but many other countries could make a similar case. It's an interesting development to watch.

Great piece from Richard Murphy on our inability to continue to fund the wealthy at our current rate. They are just going to have to make some sacrifices. Maybe get an extra job or keep working like millions of poor people have had to.

A bit of recognition for China. Despite all the increasing demands the world is making of them they have managed to keep their CO2 emotions from going up, for ~18 months. This is the step before they start going down!

So now one of the good guys who predicted a big jump in global warming is concerned thus may have been underestimated. :-(

The more we can cut fossil fuel use, the quicker we can do it, the better chance we have if getting out of this with more people alive and a civilisation.
#LeaveItInTheGround
October is the least warmed month and reached +1.55°C during a La Niña!

The past 29 months were +1.57°C on average, 0.32°C above the same 2015-2017 period, indicating a 0.4°C/dec warming rate.

That's more than a doubling from the 1970-2010 warming rate.
Even(?) we might have underestimated this.
