Brad Lander commits to cosponsoring the Block The Bombs Act if elected, which would ban the US government from transferring cluster bombs, JDAMs, artillery and tank shells, and other munitions to the Israeli government.
Brad Lander: To build a just and safe future for Israelis and Palestinians, and to move toward a US foreign policy that aligns with our principles and our interests, it’s time to block the bombs.

Are the Moriarty episodes of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” helpful to understanding artificial intelligence? I’m not sure but those were good episodes and maybe deserve a rewatch.

I hope Dems begin to see that moderate or progressive, AIPAC is not our friend.

They endorse January 6th insurrectionists. Yet if you so much as suggest the US uphold its own Leahy laws, no matter your record, they will work against you.

I’m helping a PBS series look for a social media manager/content creator for an upcoming promotional campaign. The start date is ASAP, and a project timeline that currently goes to July.

This is for a series on American Muslim history, so candidates with cultural familiarity preferred!

The problem is bigger than Bibi, but Bibi remains among the biggest problems. This has been true since long before October 7. There cannot be a two-state solution with Bibi in office. I hate Hamas but Bibi is the bigger obstacle to a 2-s-s, which remains the only realistic path to peace.

Jonathan Holloway is a superb scholar, a mentor, and a mensch. I don’t care if one disagrees with his views on the Rutgers union,
Israel/Palestine, or anything else. This is absolutely awful.
Ex-Rutgers president endured racist threats before he quit. He ‘didn’t sign up for this.’
He became Rutgers' first Black president. Then the threats started coming in.

I think that's part of the article's point about the right having agency. They don't just react to wokeness. They've been building this for decades. I think wokeness can encourage Trumpism in some people but I think the problem is much older and deeper than that.

I really liked this article. I don’t think it negates criticisms of “the left” but I think it’s worthwhile to consider where “centrists” direct the majority of their criticism. Emphasis matters. Quotation marks because I think it’s less about policy views and more about evaluating relative threats.

this particular line is maybe the best statement of purpose i have seen for those of us who want a more militant opposition to this administration
“Let us be clear: we want the power of the state. We wish to hold the criminals of the regime accountable. We wish to seize back the public funds looted by Trump and his cronies. We wish to undo the damage he has done to the government. More than any of that we wish to rebuild.”
From Powerlessness to Power
We will not achieve any of our ultimate goals without exercising state power, and the most effective way to take state power is through nonviolent but confrontational resistance.
