Surely protocol after a game of outdoor chess is to reset the pieces?!

Making the thermos and prepping water bottles is almost as long as any road trip.

My favorite photos from the Olympics are of this Italian figure skater Daniel Grassl. He looks absolutely insane in so many of them. It's great.

Proud today (and everyday) of being part of the RNLI crew.

Loving these winter Olympics.
Now assessing the pavement conditions to see if it would be suitable for Curling on the street.

I need to do an ASMR video of my dog doing his thing, in particular when he takes a drink and then walking around the floor.

Who else thinks of MacGyver when they watch ice hockey at the Olympics?

I gave cross country skiing a go last week in Livigno at the Winter Olympics.
Thought I was doing ok, wanted to take a nice picture and then this Klaebo style dude zooms past just to put me in my place....

Last night, I got properly "doored" for the first time. A car in the road to my right paused, and the rear left passenger threw open his door without looking, right into my path. I ended up on the floor, badly winded but ok.

If you don't know what the "Dutch reach" is, NOW is the time to learn.

There's a lot going on in the world right now but one (additional) thing I wish we could change is chewing gum litter on our streets.

It's the little things that count.
A publicly accessible tool station on a walking, cycling, cross country skiing route with power outlet for ebikes.
I didn't need it but good to know it's there.
Grazie mille Livigno.

This wall of solar cells in the Alps near Swiss Italian border, shows even in -20⁰C environments, homes are getting their juice.

Let's go Valentino Guseli ....💪🏼
Livigno looks superb, crowds are out for the Snowboard Big Air.

The country name card holders of the Winter Olympics, look like what the Bene Gesserit would wear on the slopes...

I now judge hotels on whether they have courtesy bikes in reception for guests.
Ebikes, step through and panniers/cargo racks bonus points.

Shout out to all the sisters out there.
Catching up with my little sis later this week. Here's the two of us from a long time ago owning the neighbourhood with our umbrella and tape recorder.

Inadvertently trying to set a personal record of how many tabs that were open on mobile phone browser, just closed 162 tabs.

Sad sign of the times when the ground staff at my lads u10 football/soccer game are wearing body cams.
Apparently abuse from a vocal parent and a rogue coach.
