"It’s all nice enough, while also feeling indistinct and unmemorable."

Jason Isaacs and Gillian Anderson go for a very long walk in true story inspired movie #TheSaltPath — out in UK cinemas on 30 May.

Now Christmas is behind us I have permission to share a commission I recently fulfilled. The brief was to place the lovely Max and Georgie outside their new #business premises in #Nottingham BUT to #draw the #property how it would have looked in 1910 AND to include the couple in #period dress

A recent #commission received was to place the buyer’s son and DIL outside their new #business premises BUT to draw the #property how it looked in 1910 AND to include the couple in #period #dress. Great idea! I’ll share the finished work sometime

Over in The Bad Place it’s Day 42 of my futile one-woman crusade to keep real images popping up on your feed rather than AI.

It’s getting colder so here’s the Peak District looking as wintery as i’ve ever seen a few yrs ago. Silver Birch covered in snow and hoar frost at first light. Magic!

A novel written by an author is a form of communication. It tells us something about our common human experience. A novel written by generative AI is just noise. It tells us nothing. To quote Shakespeare, it is “a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

Twitter has become a shop window with no goods in the back. In many cases the shop window is just a facade with a nice banner. Absolutely literally nothing in the back.

Word of the Day is a true favourite, as some of you will know.

Apricity (17th century) is the warmth of the sun on a winter’s day.
