Went to the countryside, saw some gardens, and took in some dribble sports.

Back to M where I’m quite sure everything with the Grizzlies will be quite normal!

Leftover food stuffs. Pictures don’t do much but black dal in here is something I would eat every single day of my life and wish I could. Knife cut noodles we ate in front of a closet next to the kitchen. Sick bakery with a honey butter porchetta swirl that will change ya life.

Overheard on the tube “Angel Reese is my goddess!”

Well well well, look who welcomed me to my show this evening.

Oh Mary! Was so damn good.

See it whenever an opportunity it’s arises. Bite sized, theater joy.

I’m not for tanking as a philosophy but I sure as hell support single season, opportunistic tanking when the world leaves you no better option.

We have to get serious.

I very much want Jaren to be a long term Grizzly but there would be the tiniest comfort in a group of fans seeing just how much more the league values Jaren right in front of their faces.

Not that it really matters but I guess we left behind 17 minutes per game of center play without a replacement given Koloko’s 10 day expired.

Perhaps I’m naive but the notion that Ja is currently sitting out while the team looks for a trade, will pop back up to play two games in Europe, then will return to the bench until a trade seems WILD to me.
January 12, 2026 at 8:29 PM
This feels like piling on and it’s purely speculation but one thing people correctly note is that Ja’s teammates have always loved him.

I wonder if that is actually more reason to get the trade done. If the most influential guy in a young locker room is against the organization that’s not great.

What a perfectly strange moment to have four days rest followed by two games on a different continent.

Drama filled days ahead no doubt.
January 11, 2026 at 10:52 PM
Ja’s calf is so hurt he can’t even stand to celebrate with his teammates during the comeback. Must really be in pain.
January 11, 2026 at 10:44 PM
Tough day for Jock Landale. People I gave my tickets to just texted, “Who is big guy that looks like Logan Paul?”
January 11, 2026 at 10:28 PM
I’m starting to think the available roster for the Europe games may not get thousands of new fans hooked on the Grizzlies.
January 11, 2026 at 7:16 PM
Sounds possible that we may see an Edey update in the coming days that takes us from joking about tanking to sincerely looking at how low we can go.

Ja traded for picks, SPJ/Edey/Jerome play fewer than 15 games combined, Jaren shut down in March with TBD.

Oh we could get bottom 6. I believe.

While the Raptors will come up for Morant for the same reason that they'll come up for other stars — they have their picks, desire to get better + 5 contracts between 20-40 M — I feel even more strongly they'll avoid Ja than other names on the block.

From Sacramento to the Clippers, Wolves, Miami, Toronto, Brooklyn and beyond, the one and only @johnhollinger.bsky.social weighs in on the Ja Morant market in Memphis, at @theathletic.com

Why Grizzlies put Ja Morant on the trade market and which teams could be interested
Morant is now at the center of the NBA trade market solar system, and he might be leaving Memphis sooner than later.

From Fischer via the Stein Line Substack it doesn’t sound like a Ja trade is anywhere close.

Sounds like this is early stages and he doesn’t have a single team who is definitely in for the idea of trading for Ja.

Also frames as more of a mutually agreed upon thing between team and player.

Jaren has adapted kind of a platitude filled, say a bunch but give em nothing persona with the media in recent years but he seemed legitimately bummed about the Ja news.
January 10, 2026 at 5:31 AM
I think it’s well south of 50% but if I could get really good odds I’d want to bet a few bucks on Ja playing Sunday.

Would be a fitting addition to the season of weird

At least we got a haul for a guy who is in the east play-in and still nowhere near the all-star team.

Trade is the lone good thing for the Grizz since who knows when.
