I think Ja was petulant and selfish and also that the things he’s being petulant and selfish about (if as reported) are things that would eventually end up in major conflict with 98% of the stars in the league.

Yeah the very loaded (ish) there was meant to covey “lost his top end athletic pop that allowed him to overcome shooting woes with elite finishing thereby taking him from all-nba high end to all star reserve high end.

One terrifying alternative would be that he’s lowkey washed(ish) and going to blame something external on his play no matter what.

In any case I think we are years away from anyone other than rookies and role players being cool with these TI rotation/sub philosophies.

I think players mostly see what’s in front of them. I think he probably thought because Iisalo ended the szn playing tighter rotations & more normal subs that’s how it would be. But instead he’s gone from the diet version that was happening under TJ all the way to the full thing.
