another way to look at it is to just make sure you include units in your calculation. if your final answer has the wrong unit as a result, then you know to go back and check what you did

the key insight here is that to get the units to line up, if you’re starting with a volume in m^3 and you need a length in m, you’ll be dividing by an area in m^2. if you calculate the pool volume you have m^3 and the only use for that is to make sure the water doesn’t overflow

lol the iOS bluesky client immediately hides the controls when you tap on the “highlight text” button. and if the image is tall enough, the alt text can also cover up that button. i had to screenshot the image to be able to feed it into translate

i think it’s 30cm? the depth of the pool doesn’t matter, the water height will be the same even if the pool was 100m deep. the pool bottom is 40m^2 and 12m^3 / 40m^2 is 0.3m

if the dishwasher is running then i lose access to the clean dishes inside. that implies i need to distribute every dish type across multiple dishwashers. also, dishes stacked in a cupboard take less space than dishes in a dishwasher, so now i need a bigger kitchen

apparently the Yotei devs think agreeing to spar with someone to first blood means they just immediately draw their sword and attack from two feet away while you’re standing there empty-handed. i didn’t even know the conversation was over!

i really need to find a new job. is anyone hiring for Rust (or functional programming) that isn’t AI or blockchain crap, isn’t a morally repugnant company (such as Google), and can actually compete with Apple for bay area compensation?

The tl;dr on this is that you should absolutely block
@dollspace.gay and you should ABSOLUTELY not use its hosted appview. The BEST case is that it's sharing a brain and body with Laurelai and all your conversations with it (and any data sent through the appview) are easily accessible BY Laurelai.
