1/ THREAD: This year ICE has sent a record 600 immigrant kids into federal shelters, more than in the previous four years combined. Data suggests some are being separated from their families.

For one 15-year-old, it began with a cracked windshield 👇

The Russian plan is a non-starter. No Ukrainian leader could sign it and survive politically. Europe is exploring alternative ideas, but even a reasonable compromise sent to Moscow will likely be rejected. Putin is the one who wants to keep fighting. As I told @morningjoe-msnow.bsky.social

GOP is always so invested in “free market competition” when it comes to industries their donors don’t control.

But what about tech, banking, finance, oil & gas?

Not a peep about the lack of competition and government subsidies.
Ron Johnson: "We've basically driven free market competition out of healthcare. The way you return it? Consumerism."

This is such a dishonest argument. GOP wouldn’t have to ever worry about Dems “respecting” the filibuster if they weren’t propping up an authoritarian Administration.

If anyone is responsible for the normalizing of abolishing the filibuster it is today’s GOP.
Ron Johnson: "It's very sad that the Democrats don't respect the filibuster anymore, but they don't"

The 20 biggest political donors on the Forbes billionaires list have collectively given nearly $5 billion between 2015 and 2024.

We must get Big Money out of politics.

No one from either party should be able to buy an election.

Debunking lies of the GOP:
- 2020 election was not stolen
- There was no deep state conspiracy against Trump
- Russia interfered in 2016 to help elect Trump
- Inflation’s up since Trump took office
- Trump’s 2025 tax cuts save the .01% millions, but you little
- migrants can’t receive ACA benefits

Fraud is just a buzz word and vehicle this administration and GOP Congress use to justify their targeting of individuals, groups, organizations, and government entities that oppose them.

If they cared about fraud, they’d be investigating Trump, Speaker Johnson, and the mutual network they share.

The Trump/Russia peace plan for Ukraine:

Bully (Russia): punches kid half his age & size

Kid (Ukraine): fights back but is clearly outmatched

Teacher (USA): now, kid, give the bully what he wants, he’s bigger and stronger than you.

It needs to be said more:

This Trump administration and Congress is the most corrupt and dishonest in the history of America.

They lie like they breathe, they tell the truth only when it benefits them, and they use immigrants and minorities as scapegoats for their corruption.

We deserve better.

You can say he has a “little heart”, but at least he has a heart unlike you.
Q: Is this your final offer to Ukraine?

TRUMP: No. One way or the other we have to get it ended. He can continue to fight his little heart out.

It’s his consultants, the same consultants behind Speaker Johnson.

They’re using their network of press though Speaker Johnson’s office to plant all kinds of stories.
Who is planting these stories? Nobody likes TEMU Wolverine.

Hanaway is a client of the largest GOP consulting firm so is MO Gov Mike Kehoe.

Also a client to the same firm, Speaker Mike Johnson.

This firm, at the behest of Speaker Johnson, is who is spearheading the national redistricting effort.

Trump is just a figurehead.

President of the United States Donald Trump, stochastic terrorist:
BREAKING:

Sen. Elissa Slotkin says police responded to her home tonight in response to a bomb threat. Slotkin wasn't at home at the time.

This is two days after Trump said Slotkin and other Democrats committed "seditious conspiracy, punishable by death."

Yep, she changed some words but did not change her policy platform.

She was still advocating for abolishing the ACA, abolishing H1Bs, and supported mass deportations.

She never changed. At all.
CNN: In the last couple of weeks or so, she's become kind of an ally on some issues. What do you make of this?

Auchincloss: No, John, she hasn't.
