Is Life a Form of Computation?

Interesting post and I particularly like the idea of the 4 files to steer the coding agent.

Why Facts Don’t Change Minds in the Culture Wars—Structure Does
Why do facts bounce off some people? It’s not about logic; it’s about structure. Your worldview isn’t a list of opinions—it's a living network. And right now, it's at war.

A Vision For Product Teams

In this article, I want to talk about where I believe generative AI is going to take the roles on a product team, and the team topologies of product organizations.

I learned to
- create a VHD from Disk Mgmt 😮
- build a container from a csproj 😎
- switch Docker to containerd 🆗
- build a WASI container! 🤯

Thanks @scott.hanselman.com! 👏

Very interesting thread with some good insights. #llm
What are some of the things you've learned about how LLMs (and LLM-powered systems like ChatGPT) work that were non-obvious but most helped you build a more effective mental model of how to use them?

Building a static website as a developer using #Webflow & #Figma & #Relume.io:

Coming from a development background, I am not often building static marketing websites. However, for my local badminton club, I wanted to see how far I could get with the latest tools.

I'll get straight to the point.

We trained 2 new models. Like BERT, but modern. ModernBERT.

Not some hypey GenAI thing, but a proper workhorse model, for retrieval, classification, etc. Real practical stuff.

It's much faster, more accurate, longer context, and more useful. 🧵

Interesting post about the challenges building a Terminal UI (TUI)
Textual 1.0 has been released. 🥳

Three years in the making. A TUI framework that is bigger than the terminal.

To celebrate, I want to give away some trade secrets. Because I am appalling at keeping secrets.

Tell me what you think of the diagrams...

Very balanced analysis about the actual decentralized nature of Bluesky containing several points that I'm also curious about.
I wanted to try and collect my thoughts about Bluesky in one place. I think Bluesky is fascinating, but I also worry about many parts of it. If it becomes the new "Twitter", I think I'm OK with that, but I'll be very quick to cut the cord if it ever starts sucking.

it’s currently hosted on a bluesky server (scroll down for serviceEndpoint — that says who does your hosting). but you can move this data to another server or self-host it. the server itself is open source
