Does anyone remember the TV show "Alias Smith and Jones". It was short-lived but enjoyable. The show debuted on this day in 1971.
Sad what happened to Pete Duel.

The paradox of tolerance is a philosophical concept suggesting that if a society extends tolerance to those who are intolerant, it risks enabling the eventual dominance of intolerance, thereby undermining the very principle of tolerance. This paradox was articulated by philosopher Karl Popper 👇

On this day in 1981, 52 American hostages were released in Tehran. They had been held in the American Embassy by followers of the Ayatollah Khomeini for 444 days. Some of the details of the initial attack on the Embassy are part of the plot of Ben Affleck's 2012 movie "Argo"

It was during his inauguration speech, on this day in 1961, that President John Fitzgerald Kennedy issued his famous call-to-action "ask not what your country can do for you, but rather what you can do for your country"
My, how times have changed...

21 bags done and the primary hull of the LEGO USS Enterprise is coming together. There were a few tricky bits but all good, I think 😳
Heading out now. Even the construction team at Planetia Utopia Yards needs a break 🖖

On this day in 1981, historic vampire slayer Buffy Summers was born. She would go on to save the world from the supernatural forces of darkness a number of times. Her birthday is the perfect time to honour her contributions to the planet not being overrun by evil vampires.

#OTD at the 1971 trial for the Tate-LaBianca murders, prosecutors presented the Beatles' song "Helter Skelter" and other tracks from their 1968 White Album, arguing Manson interpreted them as prophecies of an apocalyptic race war that he believed he could instigate.

Just posted my review of #28YearsLater: The Bone Temple. 🧟‍♂️🎬
It’s a claustrophobic, uneven middle chapter that trades scares for theatrical weirdness. But Ralph Fiennes? Absolute legend. His arc (and that dance scene!) saves the movie

Good morning from Holly and me out for our walk this morning. We were later than usual as it was quite icy underfoot. It was a gorgeous morning and we had fun.
We met a couple of swans having their breakfast.
It was also quite misty. I half-expected Heathcliff to appear at any moment 😂
