Good morning from Holly and me out for our walk this morning. Very dark morning but a gorgeous time to be up and out, my favourite time of day.
I hope you have a lovely Friday and let's hope the 🍊🤡 doesn't declare war on Norway later 🤞

The girl group The Shangri-Las released the hit song "Leader of the Pack" on this day in 1964, & became a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in late 1964. The song is a prime example of a "teenage tragedy" song and tells a melodramatic story of a girl whose motorcycle-riding boyfriend crashes & dies

On this day in 1962, “Monster Mash” by Bobby “Boris” Pickett & the Crypt Kickers was banned by the BBC. It was deemed to be "too morbid".
Upon its re-release in 1973 it went to no. 3 in the UK. By this time Boris Pickett was a 32-year-old part time New York cab driver.

I'm no legal expert but cancellation of a presidential election due to the withdrawal of a candidate has no basis in law, and would appear to be unconstitutional.
Surely Maria Steen has a copy of Bunreacht na hÉireann in her handbag?

I think she has made some questionable decisions in the past and continues to give "odd" answers to questions: e.g. the one earlier about employing a convicted rapist.
The rest is intuition. Something is niggling me.
Do I think she would allow the repeal of the GRA? No. Hence I'll vote for her.

You're all fab ❤️
Like others I think I will be voting for CC as the least worst candidate.

I find myself unable to vote for any of the presidential candidates.
Yet, I want to vote. I don't want to spoil my vote.
Do I vote for the least-worst candidate?
Thoughts?

Cagney & Lacey aired its pilot episode on this day October 8, 1981. The pilot, which starred Tyne Daly as Mary Beth Lacey and Loretta Swit as Christine Cagney, continued with its first season on CBS on March 25, 1982. Famously Sharon Gless replaced Loretta Swit as her MASH commitments took priority.
