2 weeks ago HMRC informed me that l was due a rebate (didn't work for a few months, did not claim benefits) l received it 2 days later 🥳 today l got a letter from HMRC stating l owed them tax because l received a rebate... Our wonderful tax system 🥴

Crazy that we hear about Train Drivers who get £60,000 a year for driving a train.
But we never hear about the boss of Tesco who gets £30,000 a day and doesn't even pay tax in the UK.
Or the £250m a day that the likes of Amazon, Vodafone, BP and Shell don't pay in tax.

On phone to HMRC, evidently they owe me money, filled in the form giving all details online, including bank stuff,only to be informed there is a problem and they can't validate my claim!! They sent me the letter!!!
