Fun fact, indie booksellers are always happy to order books, even if they don't have them in stock, for you to pick up in-store or have shipped. Heck, you can even ask faraway indie bookstores to ship a book, or you can purchase through bookshop.org and support indies across the US and the UK!

The Frieran angle thing is so great because *every* artist knows that angle is tough. They've all been through it, learning the hard way how to do it.
To a non-artist it doesn't seem like a hard problem. A non-artist who only wants to be seen as an artist, will use genAI instead of learning it.

I was worried to check my insurance premiums, and was surprised to find they're only going up by about 75 bucks, which still ain't cheap, but far better than I expected.
Virginia recently switched to providing its "own" marketplace (or something???) and I wonder if that makes the difference.

Warner is up for reelection. He was widely seen driving towards surrender behind the scenes, but he's voting no in public because it's unpopular. The real question is whether he supports a senate leadership change. If not, someone who supports senate leadership change should primary him.
But I cannot support a deal that still leaves millions of Americans wondering how they are going to pay for their health care or whether they will be able to afford to get sick.

I haven't been this mad in a long time, actually. I just can't believe the naivete of these senators, of MY senators. I know a lot of federal workers live in VA, and they probably felt the pressure more, but I can't believe they're doing all this based on a "promise."
