"Cat on your back" by Deryk Houston
The sculpture featured in the painting is a bronze piece that I bought in Iraq during the sanction years and war. It inspired this painting.

I enjoyed "The farmers Wife" by Helen Rebanks.
All too often the wife works as hard as anyone but does not get the full credit.
It's my impression that her husband James Rebanks fully understands that idea.
Farming is tough.
They grow our food and we must be willing to pay what it is worth.

There is a fellow in England's, in the Lake district, who writes about his life as a farmer. He tries to be respectful of the land by "not" embracing industrial farming. His name is James Rebanks. The one I'm enjoying right now is "The Sheppard's Life".

"Hands across the water" (The Beatles.)
It's much easier to build a relationship with your friends.
Much harder to do so with someone you don't trust or understand.
If we don't reach out, then we will not survive as a species.

Historians of the future: Rest assured, millions of us know all this in real time. We are horrified, shocked, enraged, and ashamed. We are acting, in a thousand ways, to oppose it. This cannot, and will not, be how the United States ends. trib.al/0islLh9

Sometimes, simple, ink lines are enough to describe a scene.
Take a moment to have the confidence to just let go with your life.

Some similarities to Canada's Emily Carr.
At least in the brushwork of the right hand hillside.
Emily Carr was able to lock into the magic of the forest.

Lot's of love to everyone who is an artist.
Yes...that's you too.
I believe we are all artists at heart, but we tend to get it beaten out of us by adulthood:)
I have posted my memoir on my web page.

Gardening is art.
Yes...you are an artist!
Here is my Peace Sanctuary project.
It's one thousand feet across ...created on top of a mountain.
The reason behind it and why I do my art,, is in my memoir at

Of course we saw this when the British people went out to the streets by the millions.....to protest the Iraq war.
They then went out and voted in the same government!
People do not have the capacity to understand what is going on unfortunately.

Of course..... one has to wonder about the people who elected them.
Humans will not survive as a species.
I say that with the hope that if we want to survive....we need to take a hard look at ourselves first.
