Canada was at 9.4% in Q3 2025, down from 15.7% in Q3 2024.

The government keeps delaying the introduction of a new EV incentive and is letting the fact we’re tied into the US market and its vehicle safety standards limit the affordable EVs that can be sold here. That needs to change.
The US—already a laggard on electric vehicle adoption—fell further behind Europe & China in 2025. Both Europe & China have substantially increased their EV market shares, while the US EV market share fell from 2024 to 2025.

I simply don’t believe this stuff. Not only do I feel the gains are exaggerated, but they state smaller provinces (especially Atlantics) will benefit most, when it seems clear they’re most likely to lose talent and industries to bigger provinces like Ontario if the trade barriers come down.
