Currently lusting after these boots.

Think I'll have a Maltesers Gingerbread Reindeer with my coffee! 🙂

I went to see The Amateur Transplants live years ago...

And yes, they were very sweary and very irreverent, but their writing was also incredibly clever!

Might play this later, on low volume so as not to offend the neighbours! 😁

Forgive the tangent...

But, I was only thinking the other day that I hadn't heard the London Underground song in ages.

As the video warns you, there's a lot of swearing, but it's very satisfying to sing loudly:

🎶 So don't tell me to mind the gap. I want my fucking money back, London Underground 🎶

Just realised today would have been my Mum's 97th birthday.

She died so long ago that the date only registers with me some years.

I mean, she would probably never have made it this far, but without The Fucking Cancer* she'd have had more chance of making it to old age than my Dad ever would've!

I've already posted that my earliest gigs mostly took place at The Locarno in Bristol...

But, I did also see ABC at the Colston Hall, with Martin Fry resplendent in his gold lamé suit! 🙂

The distinct building on Cheese Lane, Bristol was built in 1969 as a shot tower. Liquid lead was dropped into water where it formed spherical ammunition. A previous (now demolished) tower was built over the Redcliffe Caves in 1782 and was the first lead shot tower in the world.

Another song currently lodged in my head courtesy of a TV advert...

I'm not complaining, tho.

It just had me dancing in the kitchen, but it'll never make me go to a PureGym! 😁

Post a pic of the venue where you saw your first concert and the band or artist.

Well, it was definitely the Locarno in Bristol. But, I honestly can't remember which of these three bands it was!

40+ years later, and I still can't hear this song without getting a bit of a tear in my eye...

I played it on repeat for weeks after a boy I had been dating at the time died in a car crash.

My senses are feeling very assaulted right now! 🙉
