I was paid in honey mead and erotica coffee table books by a Czech publisher in the early 90s. I was given the choice of those two or "stationery".
I already shared that but people like this!

A couple of things in the last 2 days have made me wonder if I've slipped into an adjacent universe: 1. visited Grey Matter Books in Hadley & was startled by the large flock of ducks in an enclosure just outside door. Asked bookseller when they'd gotten ducks & was told, "They've always been there."
