Sunny beat me to the very next statement I was going to make.

The whole performance wasn’t about the triumph of the individual, but the collective effort and joy that that elevates all of us out of oppression.

They literally danced their way through and out of the history of colonialism TOGETHER.
Okay so a thing I LOVED about that is how, whereas so many halftime shows kind of elevate the star above the other dancers/extras—often literally—that was like the exact opposite, he was *with and among* the people around him

“This morning, I spoke to a really senior adviser to Pierre Poilievre, and he said that it took him all hell’s work to convince Pierre to finally take up anti-immigration status. And that’s happening”
A former OneBC staffer previously participated in a Spaces call with the leaders of white nationalist/"Canadian nationalist" organizations.

They talked about deporting 10 million people and joked about throwing "millions of Punjabis" into the sea. 1/3 thetyee.ca/News/2026/02...

I cannot sufficiently underline how despicable it is that the IOC has required Haitian Olympic athletes to remove an image representing the leader of the Haitian Revolution (against SLAVERY) from their uniforms.

It’s actually exactly what we expect to see in the US.
Do Americans not learn about HUAC, Jim Crow, COINTELPRO, etc?
Always feigning shock despite the fact the entire country was born and bred of violence.
Moulton: This is state-sponsored terror. This is what you would expect to see in North Korea or Iran or the old Soviet Union. We’ve got to crack down on the government before they crack down on the American people.

While Poilievre and his MPs talked up being the “party of Canadian workers,” the Conservative's new top council shows other priorities.

Our analysis shows half the council are recent or active lobbyists for oil & gas, Big Tech, telecoms and pharma giants.

Pollievre will always be a whiny twerp. He is scared of everything with solutions for nothing.
Miserable little man even though he has never had to pay for his own housing, health care, dental care etc.
He wouldn’t be able to hold a job in the real world for more than a month. #douchecanoe

Truly disappointing moment in Peterborough history.
Also of note: no councillors took Hailman up on his offer to walk out the door and end their public service this evening.

Therrien-Hale adds that proceeding with this change on phones will alienate younger people from running for council. She also adds that limiting public delegations to 10 is highly problematic and "borderline discriminatory" against those without reliable access to technology.

🤣 Michelle Rempel Garner talking about Pollievre representing Canadians who “don’t have a rich lobby group”, as if the entire CND Conservative movement isn’t funded by the real estate lobby, grocery cartel, and US billionaires. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The @cityptbo.bsky.social proposed changes to the procedural bylaw are wild - the old boys club want decisions made behind closed doors as is their preferred method of doing business. And so that members of council can’t look up info in real time during meetings.

I've spent my day tracking down Canadian companies that have direct or indirect contracts supporting ICE operations.

So far, I've found NINE. I've reached out to all of them.

I plan to publish my video on this tomorrow, detailing the companies, contract amounts and purposes.
Following this exclusive (and excellent) piece from David, I've contacted the federal government to ask if they intend to continue subsidizing JSI Telecom in the future.

I've also contacted JSI Telecom for comment, adding them to the list of Canadian businesses working with ICE who I've contacted.
In December, the Canadian government gave $1 million to Ottawa's JSI Telecom to commercialize AI-driven data analytics.

JSI, a wiretaps and investigation support firm, had a banner year in U.S. government sales in 2025, including a big new contract with ICE.

Well said @alexbierk.bsky.social - the suggestion to ban cell phones is so ridiculous - just because the current mayor doesn’t know how to use one, doesn’t mean everyone else needs to stay stuck in 1998 with him.

Apparently the line between resisting imperial aggression and laundering it disappears when the occupation is politically convenient.
