For users of Apple devices, do you know about Shortcuts, which is built into OS? I have been starting to explore some easy ways to setup phone and email tasks. Then I spotted this Music quiz as an example. Didn’t realise they could be this complex. Any interesting examples to share?

Most of the shops are rolling out the decorations. Must be real close to having ‘light the lamp, not the rat’

I see the world has given up on subtle metaphors now
Negotiations at the Cop30 climate conference in Brazil were halted after a fire broke out in one of the conference venues.

Thousands of people were evacuated on Thursday after the blaze in a pavilion, with videos showing people running and shouting: “It’s a fire, get out”

It was great fun. The meerkats move so fast. Mob is an appropriate collective noun for them. There were three baby meerkats and lots of adults. They all moved so fast. The meerkats on Sarah were a mixture.

It is 0 minutes since I wrote a social media post, thought it was okay, and posted. To realise the glaring typo as I pressed the send button.

Also met some collared brown lemurs, for feeding. Includes a pair and their neighbour Bruce.

Went to Hoo Zoo the other day - which included a meerkat encounter, which came with a surprise bonus if meeting Tim the porcupine ❤️

😮😉 Both? Neither? The link has long been lost. Thankfully no ‘penny for guy’ menaces today - at least not here. Sadly, very few bonfires too 😢

🎉 Happy Flux Capacitor Day! On this day in Back to the Future film history (5th November 1955), Doc Emmett Brown had the idea for the Flux Capacitor.

The UK will be marking this day with fireworks across the land this evening*.

Cheeky Haggis tonight. If you haven’t had a haggis in a while, a cold, wet, windy November night is a good excuse. Tasty.

Just preparing to lobby Charles. He studied here. One hopes he would look favourably on an application for city status. Just don’t mention the eggy greeting some gave to his mother.
