Album artwork done, thanks to awesomely talented wife and it's really feeling real now. Three more sessions I reckon.

We have a winner I think. Beautiful.

Anyway, in good news, I took @esem.name 's advice and it sorted it. Good old reverb, my comfort and my solace.

Is there a complicated German word which describes a sudden insecurity about the clarity of your snare drum sound in an otherwise solid track you'd pretty much put to bed?

Exceptional set by @theseareendtimes.bsky.social tonight at The Baths. First time to that venue as well, definitely the best in Ipswich.

This thread, essential listens (and a joy to be included). He's right, you know, if music is to be commoditised, then community is all we have left, and it's in rude health.
It’s an absolute joy listening to my mates absolutely smashing out some amazing albums of late. And as its Bandcamp Friday, here’s some suggestions for you… 🧵

Rocking tonight's commute for the first time in about ten years. Holds up. Who is making music like this in 2025?

It's pretty rare that I have something of my own to crow about on #BandcampFriday. Normally talk about other people's music. But this came out this week. Shortish EP of live versions and improvisations around the Set the Weather Fair era material.

Cracking, eclectic collection this. Love an album where you can't quite place the style.
Good morning! SUPERDANK is out today via @castlesinspace.bsky.social Lunar Module imprint. Massive thanks to everyone who nabs a CD, which are available via the Lunar Module sub library and plenty of reputable music retailers 💚

New (old) music coming next week with a live EP called Performance, based on material from Set the Weather Fair.

broke the back of the problem tune yesterday so album completion back on track. turns out that replacing all the pianos with my 36 string medieval harp was a really good idea, and the new studio addition of a Microcosm has been a very good one.

Classic stuff from @3six.bsky.social here and strong recommend. What Loscil refers to as "super true to the genre" in The Making of Grief Point. Ambience as analog/digital sound world and a study of synthesis and movement. Will be stuck to the Sonos for this winter.
A masterpiece from a singular artist, and wonderful interpretation of quiet details - huge thanks to 36

Strong recommend for the new @phxsys.bsky.social album out today. Experimentalism with structure, coherency and musicality. Best in class..

Bored today? Go into your Bandcamp collection and write some comments in the 'what do you love about this album' boxes. Artists really, really love to hear that stuff.

#Suffolk musicians - anyone know of a recording studio with a relatively decent acoustic piano that isn't super high end/residential? Looking for somewhere to put a couple of tracks down. can only seem to find band/producer rooms or pro classical places and I'm self-funding.

Smashing, this, and mirrors my experience in a different genre, similar trajectory. Was never trying to be a rockstar (too lazy), but the venues and audience were there and most of my time was spent thinking about, you know, actual music. Still making work, but won't engage with engagement any more.
