New Arrival! Just put this on and had full on shivers down the spine for the entire duration, it’s *amazing*. Best £7 plus postage I’ve spent in ages

Walking from a part of Dalston I *kinda* know, to Bethnal Green Road yesterday, I flicked on Google Maps just to double check, and it assumed I was a car and pointed me in entirely the opposite direction.

Kinda feel like that’s pretty low hanging fruit for computer software to not fuck up.

Absolute ripper, one of those ‘buy it every time you see it for cheap’ singles
Not watching #totp but seems it's just had Paul Nicholas on doing the horrific "Reggae As It Used to Be"... So a reminder that "Lamplighter" on the B-side is a banger

Haven’t played this for ages, and in doing so realise that ‘pieces of 79 and 15, drifting along a jumbly sea *do do do do do do do do*’ is often looping, somewhere in my head.

Celeriac is a top five, maybe top three vegetable. It looks like an alien off Dr Who and smells like Carpets

Another day, another stupid fucking article in The Guardian where they express astonishment that the graph is pointing upwards on people being diagnosed with ADHD, a relatively new thing for people to be diagnosed with.

*DIING DING DING* We are now totally sold out of RJ McKendree -Wallflower on vinyl, and down to about ten CDs. Thanks so much to everyone who’s had one!
I have it on good authority that the magical soundtrack to Villager, by @dimorphodons.bsky.social aka the lost 1960s singer RJ McKendree, has almost sold out. If you make one of these precious final copies yours, I promise you will not regret it: rjmckendree.bandcamp.com/album/wallfl...

My friend Kaiser Matt (who graphic designed the The Genesis package) has made these notebooks made to look like his ancient Selmer and Watkins Valve Amps. Nice! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/11699079...

Americans: The world needs another cutesy name for shit, how about ‘doodie’.

Every American TV Show, Constantly: I AM GOING TO DO MY DOODIE

#nowplaying Bagged a cheap copy of this after semi knowing about it for aaaages. More songy than i always imagine German stuff of this era is gonna be

#nowplaying Some great songs, but there should have been legislation in 1969 that limited musicians to one rock opera.

I need to know the coat count in ‘Evil’. Both David and Kristen wear multiple coats per episode that I *feel* like you never see again. Lotta nice coats for a humble Priest

I've removed the paywall permanently from this piece, which is a chapter from my novel Villager, told entirely in the form of an online village message board. If you like it, you'll probably like the book. If you don't, you won't... www.tom-cox.com/the-village-...
The Village Message Board
Its authenticity was discredited because of his reputation, but also because he was quick with gin at the time and wearing an item of knitwear back to front.

Almost everything about 2026 sucks but I woke up in the middle of the night for no reason, blearily looked at discogs, bought a scarce girl group 45 for less than I’ve ever seen it, and went back to sleep.

The worst type of TV is ‘everyone runs about and shouts for practically the entire series, the reason was last mentioned a couple of seasons ago. It’s been shot in semi darkness’.

No regrets, this sounds *fantastic*.
I try not to buy reissues if possible, but I’m admitting defeat on this one! Too good to only have on a cd lurking in a box ‘somewhere’

It’s great that more people are arriving from X and it’s lovely to see your name on a starter pack but a note of caution: I have only recently unfollowed the last of the nuisances on my original starter pack. One person’s Noël Coward is another person’s Noel Edmonds.
