You know what is a weird thing I miss about regular TV seasons?

Obligatory seasonal holiday episodes.

Like, no one dropping 8 episodes in July is going to give you an unhinged Halloween ep, a totally inappropriate murder on Christmas ep, and probably some weird Valentine's Day nonsense.

Good example of how much of a hack Oren Cass is—on April 2nd he had *the White House* publish his praise for Trump's tariffs, and now suddenly those tariffs were "haphazard", created "heightened uncertainty", and have "needlessly antagonized Allies"

Trump can't be held accountable for his lies because he's a liar and can't be held accountable for things he says he'll do because everyone knows he's a liar which means you lie if you tell the truth about what he says he'll do, even if it's true. Checkmate, liberals.

A thing that streaming has taken from us is nowadays, the wait between seasons is so long that you wouldn't get absolutely demented workarounds to 'Lucy Lawless is pregnant' like 'the lead role is played by a child actor for one episode'.

JD Vance is Trump's heir because Trump talks like a catty 80s reality tv gay and Vance talks like a whiny Tumblr crybully saying you're making monosexist microagressions
im not entirely sure why so many conservatives view jd vance as some kind of outstanding communicator and intellectual when he mainly just sounds like a whiny, millennial dick cheney

The Killer was the only major John Woo film I’d never seen and I’m so glad I waited for the big screen. Unquestionably his masterpiece. Danny Lee’s cop being immediately horny for Chow Yun-Fat’s “empathetic eyes” is what dreams are made of. Melodramatic action perfection. Wow.

Holy shit this is so dumb.

-bubbles are good, actually.
-except for the bad ones, that is.
-you can tell the difference because the good ones spin grand tales about how the world is gonna change. Yeah, that’s when we’ve hit the jackpot and should proceed with zero caution.

I have a nominally-liberal acquaintance who told me that her father acknowledged that it “would be tough to get the guy out of office” if he won and then voted for him anyway. This was presented to me as a sign of Dem messaging failures rather than a catastrophic absence of civic virtue.
All of this could have been avoided. It could have been avoided so damn easily. We literally had to actively work hard to get into this mess.
