I think technically only the hooves are supposed to be backwards but I thought this was more fun.

A Nykur, a malicious water spirit similar to the more well-known Kelpie. It often takes on the shape of a horse with backwards legs and ears. They have a bad habit of hauling people into lakes to drown them. In this image it is shown rising from a lake, tail and mane dripping wet, thick water beading on its sides/ It is back light by the dying light of sunset, creating a honey orange rim light around its form. The shore is rocky with sparse pale grass.
