Fuck, this was good.
Face in the fire and distraction all at once, which could describe either the book or the podcast.
This month's bonus episode is about Olivia Nuzzi: her rise to the top of political media, her FaceTime sex with RFK Jr., and her awful new book.

If you see this, don't participate. It's a rigged study by Lisa Littman and unethical researcher J. Michael Bailey meant to undermine access to care. Spread the word.

Liberal Party politicians of Australia are an electorally transmitted disease, and there is no cure.

Love this book. The Rainbow Serpent. A great amount of my love for folklore, mythological creatures & cryptids, & the strange beauty of Australia grew from this.
Alexis Wright on its significance:
With The Rainbow Serpent, Dick Roughsey shared the spirit of our country. His work is a gift to us all | Alexis Wright
Miles Franklin-winner Alexis Wright pays tribute to the first book that visualised this powerful ancestral being from an Indigenous imagination

I thought the foster cat was carrying on a lot today, so much miaowing. Realised it was coming from outside. Good news I didn't have to climb on my car to rescue the stray kitten from the garage roof, only had to climb a fence & part of a tree it was then stuck in. So many stray cats.

We need the directors cut of Welcome to Woop Woop.
Elliott's audio commentary is a must listen. So many anecdotes, so much disappointment, and so much love for a crazy film that Australia'a cultural "elite" abandoned along with the producers because it wasn't "Priscilla 2".

The death cult vibes of late-stage capitalism are really showing through this week.

Maybe overthrow anybody who works in favour of our future of heat death...?

Is there more than 1 road leading in & out of Beveridge yet?
An estate surrounded by bush & grasslands that sprung up with few resources & less accessibility than a noghtclub. Beveridge in Victoria is a place people are going to die in a coming summer.
Outskirts of Australian cities at risk of catastrophic fires on scale of deadly LA blazes, study finds
At least 6.9 million residents on Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart fringes exposed as dry summer follows years of vegetation growth

PM Albanese is a stooge to the violent pedophilic fascists in the US and Israel.

Saying things like "we've always been concerned about human rights and democracy" as the Empire flattens both is gaslighting and propaganda.

Australia needs a strong, moral leader. We have a toad.

Lapdog Albanese has officially snuggled up for another American 'police action' beginning with V.

I wish this surprised me more. The ease with which Australian politicians just waved this away....
"We urge all parties to support dialogue and diplomacy"? What kind of nonsense statement is this? The US just bombed them with no cause, kidnapped their president and his wife, and declared that they would be running the country in order to secure its oil for themselves.

Watched Wake Up Dead Man & it did nothing to stop Knives Out being the worst film in the series. They are getting better, but also feel more like the increased tension of classical & modern-faux-classical filmmaking grinding against each other are going to cause some kind of rift & explode every TV.
