Chris stopped in and visited Paul recently and the big topic of conversation was their e-bikes.
Over at the Washington Post, the great Geoff Edgers wrangled Tommy Stinson and Chris Mars from the Replacements to discuss the spectacular new 'Let It Be' boxset released by
@Rhino_Records on Friday. A genuine feat of reporting and a crucial read for any fan. The new best historian? wapo.st/4ifEGDx
The moment it all clicked for the Replacements — before it fell apart
‘Let It Be,” the Replacements’ 1984 album, hit a sweet spot they would never again find. Drummer Chris Mars and guitarist Tommy Stinson discuss a new RE-release.

I heard the dudes blamed the chick
I heard the chick blamed the snake

Forgot I had this. If anyone wants a kind of beat up poster map of Minneapolis in 1879 let me know. I picked it up at the Slim Dunlap family moving sale. Stop by the shop or DM me and I'll hang on to it for you.

The Cure is one of those bands where any cover done by competent musicians is going to be good, and some are just fantastic.
I’ve often called this song—“Just Like Heaven”—the finest single of the 80s and meant it. This cover’s arrangement only confirms it for me 💜🔥

Reading Elizabeth's liner notes makes me recall this story that was included in the "All for Nothing, Nothing for All" CD booklet. Definitely goes to show that Paul and the Replacements were definitely not just a "guys" band.

Bonus content tonight after my show at the Turf Club. Swung by the Schooner on the way home and ran into Tony Paul (real ones know). Had a long conversation. Always appreciate when Tony drops some wisdom on you.

Had a great time seeing Rhett Miller at the Turf Club tonight. This has to be one of my favorite lines of lyrics ever, "My name's Stewart Ransom Miller, I'm a serial lady-killer. She said, "I'm already dead" that's exactly what she said."
