@freya.bsky.social 's latest video inspired me to finally release a very personal article I've cooked for a while. I considered using some slop as the cover image initially. But that would taint the personal nature, and after her speech at the end I for the first time decided to hand draw something.
The design is very human.

I have two unfinished projects right now. Both are video and blog post worthy, one has finished hardware but no software, the other one has good enough software but no hardware...
Both will be certified bangers, so I can't decide.

Was trying to fall asleep when my HDD array woke up to do a monthly backup. NAS drives are pretty loud when they're right next to you.

Excellent write-up, thank you very much for doing the work I was too lazy to do.
It confirms what I suspected and it's nice to know that there wasn't any intentional malice there. (Still sus tho.)
I will add links to this writeup to the video description and my website in a bit.

@dmytroengineering.com's Xinfrared hacking video showed up on my recommended. It was pretty interesting, but I got really curious about the camera app he mentioned had weird permissions, so I took a look at it.

Analyzing a companion app for a cheap Chinese IR camera
I recently got recommended a video by Dmytro Engineering about his journey with reverse engineering the Xinfrared Xtherm II T2S+. In it, he mentions how the app requests an insane amount of permission...

Been reading the datasheet for the INA851 and as a dyslexic already found 3 mistakes while just glossing over it. Did TI replace all their QC with LLMs or something?

Inside you there are two wolves. One is active, the other one is on hot standby and becomes active if the first one fails or is taken down for maintenance. Add more wolves as necessary for increased redundancy load balancing. A quorum badger can be added for environments with multiple active wolves.
