In college my favorite teacher told me that I needed to pick friends who weren't 'failures,' because being around 'better' people would make me more successful in life. He's probably right in terms of career. But over a decade later and I still think that advice sucks.

Alright! Let's actually talk about this waterfall thing. It is an amazing showcase of many things that I adore from late 90s/early 2000s graphics.
I am replicating this in Blender through mere observation, so some things might not be fully accurate to the mind-boggling effects of the PS1.

I never believed in the 'tortured' artist trope. Cause it's just not true. Miserable people don't make good art. But I also don't think spoiled people do either. When you're overcomforted, overloved, it's the same thing in reverse. You can't make good art without want.

It bothers me when popular people talk about loneliness and isolation. They sound like the "just get a better job" types but for interpersonal relationships.

For Max to Blender peeps - is there any native way to do this now? Select verts, switch to an orthographic view, and then align all to the left most/top most/etc based on that view? Using a plugin here but it's broken for 5 rn.
