Novice astronomer with a penchant for books, I don't ascribe to religious ideology but I love nature/science. I crochet silly stuff and give away patterns for free. Art should be enjoyed/loved. All astrophotography is mine unless noted in post. NO DM'S!
Crispy views on the 6th... let's hope I get similar tonight at John Glenn Park in Logan, Ohio!

Finally a wee bit of a clearing to view Luna early this morning. I was even graced with a moonbow!

Jupiter is upper right along the edge of the moonbow.

Enjoy!

Some say "the best camera is the one you have with you", and there's a lot of truth to that saying.

So here are 4 photos I took with my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL smartphone camera while taking out the garbage this evening.

This pic from Mike Selby and Mark Hanson is as pretty as a painting, but it's absolutely real.

It shows a blue reflection nebula known as NGC 2626, which lies some 3200 light-years from Earth along the Vela Molecular Ridge.

This is a time many take time to reflect. Smoothing the hectic oceans that surround, allowing a glimpse of our light, a foothold on the sands.
Have a beautiful day, my friends.
