Hegseth is very transparently blaming a Navy admiral for his own decision. Let this be a lesson for every other military officer: The Trump administration will issue unlawful orders, then blame you for following them.

Well do government intervention in the economy and seizing some means of production like socialists, but for right-wing nationalist and corrupt ends. A “social nationalism,” if you will. We can workshop the name later.

Demolishing the East Wing of the White House before finalizing plans for what will be built above its ruins is a near-perfect metaphor for Trump's approach to economic policy. The only difference is the wrecking crew doesn’t claim the rubble is evidence of unprecedented growth.

Post claims Hegseth ordered survivors of boat strikes - who would be hors de combat - to be killed & that the SOCOM commander followed this order on the basis that "they could theoretically call other traffickers to retrieve them and their cargo"

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a verbal order to kill all crew members in the Sept. 2 strike on a suspected drug boat. Navy SEALs fired a second missile.

Elon Musk and the Trump administration gleefully shutting down USAID “has already caused the deaths of six hundred thousand people, two-thirds of them children.”

People throw around terms like genocide quite freely online but it’s hard to find other words to describe this level of man-made death.

Ahead of launching a war on Venezuela, the US would like to announce that no one in Venezuela should help US forces, it'd be stupid to do so, the US will denigrate you and screw you over no matter how much you help, and blame you if even one Venezuelan who also helped the US ever does something bad.

Made in Moscow: The “U.S. peace plan” for Ukraine was substantially formulated months ago by Kremlin operative Kirill Dmitriev
Since it was first published on Nov. 20, the much-discussed 28-point plan for ending the war in Ukraine has borne all the signs of a Kremlin information operation. In fact, many of its most controvers...

Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

and if you're gonna protest at a religious institution, start with the churches exporting homophobia to the global south

That raid? So it resulted in 0 arrests.

The BBC is funded from mandatory license fees paid by the British public to watch and stream. I can’t even begin to imagine the reaction of people if their money was used to bribe Mangolini.
Pssst Brits...this is a shakedown. He's threatening to sue the BBC so that they will pay him millions to make it go away like CBS or ABC. Don't give him a pence.
