The people who say they listened to hours of Charlie Kirk videos and didn’t hear any racism are the same ones now excited about Turning Point creating an alternate halftime show bc they don’t think Bad Bunny is American enough, despite Puerto Ricans being American citizens.

There are reasons for and against circumcision. Autism has nothing to do with any of them. And #acetaminophen is safe in pregnancy and for little ones, in appropriate doses or in coordination with your doctor.

We need a budget and federal appropriations bill that serves Americans and the Republican politicians are not pursuing that. The government should stay shut down until Medicaid funding is restored and ACA premium tax credits are extended. (3/3)

I thanked @chuckschumer.com and @kirstengillibrand.bsky.social for remaining strong during this shutdown as we try to restore funding for healthcare for American citizens which is already being reduced (thanks, Big Beautiful Bill).(2/3)

This morning I called my Senators and Representative about the #Shutdown.

I reminded Rep. Nick Langworthy that, as he already knows, federal appropriations don’t go to undocumented immigrants. So attempts to take healthcare away from immigrants actually negatively impact American citizens.(1/3)

Seeing posts from conservatives trying to redefine Christian Nationalism as a positive. 🙄

Don’t claim America was “founded by God” or on Christian principles as we ignore scholarly translations (of Scriptures written by men) to make laws antithetical to those principles.

My local news station published an article about the Republican #Shutdown and comments had significant parroting of Democrats and “illegals.” The racism and xenophobia there is fueled by JD Vance and Republican leaders.2/2

The Republican Party continues to point the finger at #immigrants and Democrats while they destroy American #healthcare and infrastructure.
During Election Season 2024 people thought JD Vance sounded rational and reasonable as a Republican, able to balance out Trump’s shenanigans. But (1/2)

Government #shutdown? That is not on the Democrats when the Republicans control all the branches. If the GOP worked to support and actually strengthen healthcare instead of stripping it away from millions of Americans, then we wouldn’t be at this precipice.

No one likes a government shutdown and it has serious consequences, but the Trump administration is literally driving healthcare into the ground, and we must stop that somehow.

If someone is telling you Democrats are trying to shut down the government to give free healthcare to “illegals” that is untrue racist/xenophobic propaganda. Undocumented folks cannot get federally funded healthcare beyond emergencies (state and community funds are different).

Q: why didn’t liberals question the vaccine the same way we do Tylenol?
A: We did. When the evidence overwhelmingly supported the use of COVID vaccines, we reviewed further and then we accepted that instead of moving the goalposts. (1/2)

You’re not wrong. I guess I would hope it could be done over the phone or via the portal, but I also agree that it’s safe and that there aren’t enough OB/GYNs or hours in the day. I still have to recommend talking to one’s doctor, but I also feel confident in acetaminophen in pregnancy.
