I received the charming bone china mug I still use for 'first drink of the day' as a birthday present - when born. It's the absolute perfect shape and I wish I could find modern mugs as perfect .

I remember Fox News spending days on the scandal that was Michelle Obama’s modest little veggie garden. It was discussed and berated non-stop with the general theme being ‘how dare she desecrate those hallowed grounds.

Our listed but not overly special farm house has two years of consultation and plans with engineers, historians, ecologists architect and council for us to apply for planning which was mainly for repair work. That one of the worlds most recognised buildings has proceeded at this pace is astounding.

I can't name a favourite- it depends on the sauce. I think bucatini is underused , and pici.
I love malfalde and dischi volante . I am not at all excited by penne . I think Farfalle is often poorly cooked.

A lot of what animates young white men's shift to the right is their sense of entitlement-- to women, their bodies, and positions of prestige-- that the right happily tells them has been wrongfully stolen from them. Constantly centering them doesn't confront this. It reinforces it!

As a white appearing middle class woman I'm technically her culture - yet MY culture embraces the diversity and cultural curiosity that made Britain what it - has been at its best ( while recognising the parts that made it heinous ) . The British language even is a beautiful hodgepodge .

I can't stop thinking about a conversation with a vet friend about her job now most vet surgeries are PE owned. She predicts a rise in already high suicide rate. She's extremely dispondate.

It means we wait longer as Goxua is a couple of weeks younger ( not a kitten farmer but a breeder who takes time off to rear a couple of litters together ) and we want them to have a friendship already so they can settle in together.

When we met Croquembouche recently we decided we wanted a second kitten too- the other kitten we loved was optionally reserved but they have decided they want the other kitten they were watching - so we are also getting a cream kitten who'll be called Goxua
