he was an assassin sent to kill a queen, but only managed to wound one of her body doubles instead. trapped on Cyre 1313, he found out the queen was the Last Passenger and intended to finish the job, but it was the same double. this time he killed her, thus skull + feminine crown

Khiravash post-game is definitely not the person he was when I first started playing him, but it’s still fun to revisit him with his darker themes and lean into the terrible man he was for most of the game lol

RIGHT. I was looking at it while working on the flats and realized other people probably need to see that it’s absolutely fine to make a mess and draw out of proportion or whatever. it’s about knowing what your intention is not making it pretty

idk I think I've seen too much of the "draw it messy" rhetoric that isn't ACTUALLY messy, and I never, ever share this step because I've always felt it's much too amateurish to let people see it. Fuck it. This is how I sketch, I'm gonna be real about it. THIS is what it means to clean it up later.

I always draw my thumbnails really tiny, sometimes as small as an inch and a half or so on a sticky note, this was a quarter of a 4"x6" canvas zoomed out really far. I didn't care about what it looked like, I just wanted the idea out there. I'm working on flats + background now, it's grown so much 💖

you know what I've always been self conscious of other people's clear, intentional thumbnails with a good sense of what the final piece will look like

but I am just gonna say it doesn't have to look like that and you can make it as messy as you want, just get the idea out
