Moonflow is compulsively readable and provides the visceral thrill of grabbing a horror novel from the paperback spinners at the library. I'd sit down to read it and find an hour had passed without me even noticing. The best kind of fun

Ran my first ever #dnd5e game. Starting simple: #CurseofStrahd. Followed @slyflourish.com's advice and had an action scene for a strong start: fight a werewolf.
Fight took the better part of 2 hours and the most damaging attack was by one PC nat 1'ing and hitting another PC instead.
Promising start!

I'm consistently stunned by the streamers' misapprehension of their business. They think they are IP generators; they are video stores.
If only one place has Superman, I'll go there once to rent it, and then spend all the rest of my money at the place with all the other things I want to watch

Made the mistake of looking up adoptable dogs. My apartment doesn't allow pets, I'm unemployed, and I may not remain in the country long-term. But goddamn, there are some senior pups that need a couch to snore on!

I also think their approach, instead of trying to copy a movie that was an adaptation of a second person's dream, was to place the story in the world and moment that would induce those dreams

And so many conversations are held in mirrors. Characters are talking, but you're not looking at the speaker, you're looking at their reflection speaking. You see the action, but it's not the actual action.

I only saw it when it was in theaters, but I need to rewatch it. I liked it a lot and think it's built around dualities. So many binaries and crossings in the movie, even in the idea of it being a remake, so that there's the original in your mind the whole time you're watching this.

You may have access to it through your library via Kanopy. Even if your library does offer Kanopy, it may not have subscribed to the package with Exhuma.
