Many years spent in London & Dublin. Back home in Limerick & working in @micireland.bsky.social - The other half of @flodesu.bsky.social - All opinions are my own.
Not an easy field goal to make on your debut but he made it look easy. Plus a great onside kick later. Well done Charlie. An amazing journey from GAA to NFL.

Heather Humphreys honoured a disgraced ex-garda after he was accused of extreme domestic violence and found by a tribunal to have corruptly organised planting weapons and fabricated evidence.

An ‘exceptional award’ she said.

Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan has given a staunch defence of the cab-rank rule in the last few minutes, telling reporters it's an "obligation" and "absolutely essential".

"I don't think it's correct or fair to criticise lawyers because of the actions of others".

No matter who you’re voting for in #Aras25, sensationalised attack ads are just grim, especially at a time when politicians repeatedly (and rightly) call for reducing toxicity in discourse and an end to personalised attacks.

Nobody wants this stuff. It sours an electorate that desires civility.

This week whenever I’m on @bsky.app any @irishtimes.com opinion column I’ve read on #Aras25 is either someone saying why they won’t vote Connolly or just promoting Humphries. Have I missed their opinion columns that are positive on Connolly? A quick search on their posts didn’t turn up anything.

For the first time since 2006 the state has admitted it allowed munitions – onboard a US war plane authorised by Simon Harris to land at Shannon Airport – to travel through Irish territory on their way to Israel

Darragh O’Brien granted the exemption.

Listening to last nights #TheLateDebate on @rteradio1.bsky.social discussion on the Children’s Hospital. I’m flabbergasted by Colm Burkes example of lowballing a project figure to get it through the cabinet is normal practice. He has a €14M project passed that’s now costing €38M - this is madness.
