I think too often physics students unconsciously have the idea that some people have brains that are "natural" for physics and some don't and who knows maybe that's true to some extent but regardless of natural tendency at some point everyone has to practice practice practice

I accept that my ability to engage with people through certain media outlets is likely at an end given the whole Black woman thing. So I decided to focus on spaces that still thought I might have interesting things to say. I pitched something somewhere and it got accepted. Huzzah!

(Clears throat) Affirmative action is a good thing and high education is better for it. Diverse student bodies allows for more diversity in what is taught and I would argue even what is researched. Also, it just plain good for the students and professors.

I don't care if a non-disabled person accesses a disability accommodation for the same reason I don't care if a child whose parents are rich gets free lunch at school. We don't need to means test being a kind person. I have better things to do with my time than be a cop over social services.
