What's your favorite American football team in Japan's X-League and why is it the Tokyo Gas Creators?

NYCFC going further and further all-in on the pigeon identity is outstanding.

A shame it's wasted on an arm of a global ownership conglomerate funded by UAE petrodollars, but hey credit where due.
No new DP yet but NYCFC officially has a new pigeon mascot that looks like this (wearing mascot version of Timbs as well) and is named Sky Scraper

Nothing it stupider than the giant Super Bowl logos at the 25 instead of the 50. We know it's the NFL dude. Put the SB logo in the middle.

Don't need to be thinking every single play is near the 50 cause of the giant logo in every shot.

ok neat

now get the rich dudes who own the clubs doing this to agree to what the USLPA is asking for
USL's new first division league to launch in 2028 will be called USL Premier. (Naturally.) Completes pyramid with Championship and League One.

Plan is to grow to 20 teams in USL Premier and 20 in the USL Championship.

More details here.

It’s the asterisk from Boston* Legacy FC
Since the NWSL hasn't posted on this site...the new ball is basically an asterisk on a soccer ball.

Every USL-adjacent blog/pod the last several months:

"Tonight my guest is AFL-CIO chairman, George Meany, who will be discussing collective bargaining agreements."

(go USLPA, get what you deserve which is in some cases already offered by USL clubs in the Super League)

So hard to choose my favorite specific item under "goods and services" for this wide-ranging #WC26 eagle mascot USPTO listing:

-Personal lubricants
-Industrial oils and greases
-Electric can openers
-Blank floppy computer discs
-Meat extracts for culinary purposes
-Hot dog sandwiches

This is the important information we need in these trying times.

(FTLUTD would clock in highish in the table at 1.3 miles to a Taco Bell if we were counting Super League / future USL1 teams)

Just found out our wedding anniversary is the same as George Harrison and Pattie Boyd’s and now I gotta keep watch for Eric Clapton creeping around

On the one hand society collapsing and reverting to some sort of medieval feudal environment would be bad but on the other hand we wouldn't have to deal with 2-factor authentication anymore

Only two date overlaps with FTLUTD this spring, only one of which has a time overlap, and that day they're both away games for easy multl-viewing.

Nice.

My god that’s stupid (unless they flip the calendar)

The Challenge Cup has always been the perfect opportunity to create a women’s Open Cup. Heck the name of the USOC was National Challenge Cup for most of its history.

Invite USL + amateur teams & do it already @ussoccer.com
The Challenge Cup is moving to a new date. Previously scheduled for February, the annual match between the NWSL Champion and Shield winner from the previous season will now take place in June.

Does the trick.

1) All the #TGL team logos are pretty darn good, only beef is that they are all roundels

2) Having teams, with actual locally-tied identities (even if only one of them actually plays locally), has made me 1000% more interested in watching golf of any sort

3) Go Links

Taking a moment from the insanity of the world to appreciate this Xmas gift I got from a friend.

A sealed Miami Dolphins personal care kit, packaged sometime between 96-97 in the middle of the logo change (note the body wash), which I distinctly remember *also* getting for Xmas in middle school
