![id encourage everyone to take up journaling in any form. "drako that's kind of out of pocket" stay with me here. sometimes you will be seized with the temptation to make a questionable post. maybe it's a kind of dumb rant. maybe it's an emotional vent. maybe it's a hot take or an opinion that isn't gonna be popular. maybe you're going hater mode--or even fan mode but in a kinda off-putting way. maybe it's just a bad post regular style. you will want to write the post. you will want to post the post. and you might regret it.
put it in a journal. a private journal. your eyes only.
it can be a physical pen and paper journal, or the notes app on your phone, or a document on your computer. date each entry and give them little titles of some kind if you want. write about your day if you want. but most importantly.
put your questionable post in your journal first. do not write it in the text box of your social media app of choice. or record yourself I guess, I can't relate to that one because I don't put my face online and only rarely my voice. regardless. put your questionable post in your journal first.
you will get the questionable post out of your system. sometimes that's all you need to do. it never needed an audience, it was ultimately all for you.
but maybe you kind of liked the questionable post. you had something to say. well, now you have a rough draft of the questionable post. you can come back to it later, or sleep on it. you can decide if you want to share the questionable post a step removed. and maybe remove a few typos along the way. or decide hm, maybe the questionable post is more a friends-only situation rather than public social media. and you can dump it on the group chat instead.
I just think this would save many people a lot of stress and misery, that's all.
