Where do you buy these in the UK? Need one for a care place I know….

Using #AI assisted #Apps #programs to ‘write minutes’ of meeting; huge issues, it may be ok for simple summaries of decisions but totally fails to convey the nuance, weight, emphasis of discussion, in the sort of meetings about stuff that matters in my area #VoluntaryAction #SocialCare #Charities

#AI #FacialRecognition fail … #apple #Iphone #photos ‘identify this person’ feature fails to distinguish between my 2 non identical sons… delivering a selection of photos of either ( but not of both together 😂)

And where are the fens? This chequerboard has no relationship to the geographies, and why should we follow the French revolutionaries who pulled many silly ideas out of their tricorn hats…

Don’t forget that tomorrow is @afewforgottenwomen.bsky.social’s collaborative research day. The theme this time is women who were born in 1819 - the same year as Queen Victoria. Hopefully exploring this cohort will help us find out about trends that might have influenced these women’s lives #GenHour

What are you up to next Friday? Why not join us in researching a woman (or women) born in 1819…. Full details on our website

Today I started transcribing the school log books for my #Sudbourne #OnePlaceStudy & I’m loving it! Many children were ‘irregular’ (in attendance) & often missed school to help in the fields. Stone picking & ‘topping beet’ being mentioned frequently #GenHour

If you like the convenience of Amazon but want to support independent Bookshops, consider uk.bookshop.org

It's an easy-to-use website that spreads its profit across bookshops in the UK. You can also select a bookshop and have extra profit go to that specific shop for a year.

My quest to find age-appropriate resources for my students turned into a bit of a writing project. Great for adults with learning disabilities but also neurotypical children age 5-10. #championdiversity #Edusky

Puzzle books also available, search for ‘LD Activity Books’ on Amazon.

Been catching birdsong on Merlin app. I’m impressed I must say….usually it’s just blackbirds but I think loads of others had just fledged from nests hidden somewhere in my small wilderness

I call mine ‘woodland edge’ & it’s very low maintenance…a haircut for the shrubs once or twice a year, plus now the grass as needed.

So 'Why don't we go into the garden?' That was our question after finding many unused or neglected #carehome #gardens.

Our aim is to turn that question into an invite enabling residents to step outside as they wish.

Yes, it’s also interesting, named for #Achilles, ancient herbal aromatic plant, drought tolerant, pops up in late summer out of dried up lawns. Not to be confused with wild carrot, which I also love! That has more lacy flowers ( and again not to be confused with Kek, Queens Annes Lace!)

jump on park &ride double decker, great views from upstairs…a bike will just get in the way imho…centre is so busy, places to park a bike limited…students mostly use them to get to lectures in 2 secs if they live in the outer colleges. Honestly the centre is best on foot ( as ex student & visitor)
