He's thinking of Paddington both in terms of hat colour and that Paddington IS a Christ figure. Famously the final Paddington book has him nailed to a cross and displayed in the train station he arrived in.

SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.

Yeah, I think this is before he got it. My internal chronology is off, in that I had Lobo brothers before Venom (which is technically correct) but didn't think it'd have happened after Web. Eddie had his symbiote for AGES (in real time) before he attacked Peter!

Really loved this lettering choice from @joecaramagna.bsky.social in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: TORN #1, as a way of making the lecturer seem boring, like a wall of noise.

I'm sure @badinkstudios.bsky.social would appreciate the choice too.
