On Friday, April 25th, I became the first* African American woman to earn tenure & promotion in the Univ. of Vermont’s College of Education & Social Services history.

Naturally, I went home to reflect on my educational past & to think about my future.

*(sadly, yes, in 2025)

My dad wants to go to a NASCAR race. I bought him front row finish line tickets to one.

But I won’t lie, I have no idea how this shit works compared to F1.

Bubba ain’t Lewis. So I just never got into it for real.

I don’t understand… it’s just a circle? Overtakes? What’s happening?

Yall playing with me with cheer not being an Olympic sport.

I’m watching the Katt Williams special and I’m today years old learning that *checks notes* paprika isn’t a real seasoning per se.

What the fuck.

Lmao.

It was an Asian guy who was a dog sitter in NYC who said that Black people may not always tip a lot, but they are the most consistent to tip
My brother used to drive for Lyft and he said Black people were often the *only* ones who would tip

THIS IS SICK!
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

I don’t do fast food much anyway these days (more fast casual if anything), but I we have to talk about how salty food is in America. I mean truly it’s outlandish

Man... I was excited about the possibility of future wide EB vaccination before all of the last year. Good evidence it's one of the primary triggers of MS. Too late on my account but it was a nice comfort hoping to be one of the last generations to get it in big numbers. They rob us of everything.

Folks are trying to do billionaire marches and “sensible centrism” like America didn’t have a whole radical hollowing out.

They think it’s more important to make sure Black people don’t get back any financial gains and trans girls can’t play sports than … oh FIXING DATA SECURITY

Dutch site IDs ICE agents via public data

“ICE aren’t actually fearful of their safety…What they’re fearful of is not being invited to baseball games or not being invited to the pub with their friends. Community exclusion – that’s what they’re fearful of”

I’ve been working from the hospital BC my uncle, who is a second dad to me (we grew up as neighbors with my cousins) was in a traumatic accident.

You know what’s set me off the most though?

Hospital parking rates, cafeteria food prices, etc.

People are stressed TF out & capital robbing us. 🤬
