When the Department of Justice blatantly violates the law to protect wealthy and politically connected pedophiles, then we have no Justice Department and we have no justice.

Washington Post's new headline is still wrong.

1. The release was not "huge."
2. DOJ missed the deadline to release all the files.
3, No mention of extensive redactions.

Woman comes to US at age 6. Graduates nursing school. Work permit. No criminal record. Snatched and imprisoned by ICE for 6 months now. About to be forced back to Honduras. A life destroyed and one less nurse. Merry Christmas.

In light of the Epstein Blackout, shouldn’t Khanna and Massie demand Johnson call the House back into session? (If he won’t, can they somehow hijack the pro forma session scheduled for Tuesday Dec. 23?) And Senators should make a similar demand of Thune.

One small way to try to re-establish social trust would be to transparently disclose *in this very column* that you hung out with Jeffrey Epstein.

This is obscene. Why can't other politicians say that?

It’s ironic that the same people who applauded DOJ for indicting Jim Comey & Tish James are complaining there was a lack of evidence to search Mar-a-Lago.

The same people who think we need to bring back real standards to academia also want to give all students a “suspend my professor” button if they don’t like how things are going
From the Oklahoma U student paper: the school is now saying it will automatically suspend faculty (with pay) in response to student complaints

This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…

A 19-year-old college student living in the U.S. since age 7, deported on her way home to surprise her family.

Meanwhile, Trump pardons a convicted drug trafficker who brought 400 TONS OF COCAINE into the U.S.

This isn't making America safer, these cruel deportations are just racist cruelty.

Ossoff: "This is so much deeper than the politics. What does it say about the moral condition of this Congress that the thing that has them all tied up in knots is a very simple question: Should people's health insurance premiums go up double or triple? This is a policy choice."

Anyone who saw the collapse of highly skilled aerospace jobs in SoCal in the mid-70s knows better. Or, say, coders now. Jobs w/ a high level of very specific skills are always at risk when tech changes, or the market, or something else. Continuous learning and versatility are absolutely the answer.
As I was just saying.

They will scale up random “schools” based on market speculation and then close them down when demand wanes. Thats the plan.
Yes we all agree that this is the reason colleges are in trouble

Current US Policy:

If you’re suspected of trafficking a small amount of drugs with no evidence, we will murder you, but if you’re convicted of trafficking an enormous amount of drugs with copious evidence, we will pardon you. Because we are currently a very stupid country.

I taught composition and technical writing at OU for three years. This decision is a disgrace. If instructors are expected to treat personal beliefs as formal “evidence,” then why even bother offering courses?
OU has put the professor here on administrative leave:
