The *bare minimum* expectation is that she could have checked the TikTok account the video came from (who's name is plastered all over the video) and see that they were nothing but an AI-slop shitposter.

Indeed. She's such a dedicated whistleblower that a bit of criticism over posting obvious AI fakes led her to give up her entire cause? Maybe she wasn't in it for the altruism after all.

I think someone claiming credibility as a "former intelligence agent" should be held to a higher standard.

("Can recognize that three-armed reporters are AI-generated" is a very, very low standard.)

Deservedly so. It was incredibly obvious that it was fake. A "former intelligence agent" posting that crap immediately ruins all their credibility. They *will* make the same mistake again on less obvious AI slop.

I agree it was a mistake. But I don't want to poison my feed with someone that gullible. One watch of that video and it was immediately obvious it was AI. They're definitely going to fall for less obvious AI videos in the future.

The "reporter" had 3 hands. That was an egregiously fake video. No excuse for an "intelligence analyst" to miss that.

She's going on my AI Trashpile block list. That level of poor media literacy is unforgivable.
