So, Trump may just attend the ASEAN meeting in Malaysia, then fly to Japan to meet the new PM (Takaichi?), and skip APEC in Korea altogether → no meeting with Xi or Lee. If this happens, APEC will be a big bust for South Korea.

That seems appropriate.
